Elements of Design…A Grand Entrance

First impressions count and getting your front door in order makes a difference. Think function and beauty when making a grand entrance.

address the situation: Select bold & modern numbers that add to the overall decor. These copper colored numbers are from Lumens $28-$55.

make it visible: The doorway must glow at night so select a simple, yet chic sconce like this one from Lamps Plus $160.99.

put a stamp on it: Got mail? If mail is still delivered to your door, this old fashioned mail box is a great look. Available at Mailboxes4less.com $85.

add a little life: Bring greenery to the front door with a colorful planter like this orange one from All Modern $64.55.

beauty from head to toe: Although you might hate to wipe dirt on this cute doormat it is made to take a stomping. Available at Chiasso $38.

Another quick tip to add more drama to the doorway is a can of super glossy paint. Try black, red or if your really brave a nice orange can bring your entrance to the next level!

With these few elements of style you can bring function and beauty to your door.
